Gender Equality Policy Published

INTERACT has published its Gender Equality Policy, reaffirming its commitment to providing a safe, inclusive and equitable environment for employees, collaborators and partners.

Approved by the Board in June 2026, the policy sets out INTERACT's approach to promoting equal opportunities, preventing discrimination and harassment, supporting work-life balance, and embedding gender equality across its activities. It also recognises the importance of an intersectional approach, acknowledging that inequality can be influenced by multiple factors beyond gender.

Alongside the policy, INTERACT has adopted a Gender Equality Action Plan for 2026–2027 to support its implementation. The plan includes measures such as staff training, the appointment of a Gender Equality Officer, improved monitoring, and awareness-raising activities to help ensure that the policy is put into practice.

As a small organisation with a small Secretariat, INTERACT is proud to have developed and implemented both a Gender Equality Policy and an accompanying Action Plan. These reflect our commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace and embedding equality into the way we work, while recognising that continuous improvement is an ongoing process.

The Gender Equality Policy is publicly available on the INTERACT website and will be reviewed regularly as part of INTERACT's commitment to equality, fairness and continuous improvement.
