INTERACT at Research Council Faroe Islands conference “Changing Currents”
The Research Council Faroe Islands is organizing the conference “Changing Currents – Understanding the Forces That Shape Our Region”, which will take place at the North Atlantic House in Copenhagen on 4 December 2025. The event aims to highlight the value of science in the North Atlantic and the Arctic, bringing together researchers, policy makers, and other stakeholders working on topics related to the High North and the impacts of environmental and geopolitical change on local communities.
The programme emphasises collaboration between institutions in Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and Denmark, with contributions also from neighbouring countries. It includes presentations, discussions, and exhibitions focusing on climate change, geopolitics, and the people of the North Atlantic and the Arctic.
INTERACT will be presented in the first session, “Monitoring Nature: Safeguarding Our Future”, showcasing its role in supporting Arctic research and and environmental monitoring through its network of research stations and collaborative initiatives.
Participation in the conference offers an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and strengthen partnerships across the North Atlantic research community.
The event is free of charge and will be held in person only, with limited seats (maximum 100 participants). Registration is open until 20 November 2025.
