POLARIN 2nd Transnational Access Call open until 30 October 2025

POLARIN Transnational Access Call 2025 is open from 1 September 2025 until 30 October 2025, 16:00 UTC+2. The call offers researchers the opportunity to apply for free access to 42 polar research infrastructures in the Arctic and Antarctic, and covers travel and logistic costs to selected applicants.

Proposals should contribute to at least one of POLARIN’s seven priority research themes:

  • Sea Ice and Polar Oceans in the Climate System

  • Polar Ice Sheets, Glaciers, and Sea Level

  • Terrestrial Carbon Cycle and Permafrost

  • Polar Ecosystems and Biodiversity

  • Atmosphere Dynamics and Chemistry

  • Paleoclimate Processes and Variability

  • Humans, Societies, and Global Changes

POLARIN will host an information webinar on 18 September, 10:30 - 12:00 UTC + 2, practical guidance on access modalities, priorities, eligibility criteria, data policy, and the application process. In the session, INTERACT will present the POLARIN TAP system.  

INTERACT collaborates on a daily basis on the coordination of POLARIN Access Management and developed the POLARIN Transnational Access Platform (TAP) together with our partner INKODE, the application system used for application, evaluation and reporting of POLARIN TA proposals.
