Job opportunity: Research Technician at Toolik Field Station (closing 27th July)
The University of Alaska Fairbanks is recruiting a full-time Research Technician to join the Environmental Data Center at Toolik Field Station, offering an exciting opportunity to support Arctic research in one of the world's most important northern field stations.
Based between Fairbanks and Toolik Field Station in northern Alaska, the successful candidate will work alongside researchers to collect, manage and quality-control ecological, hydrological and meteorological data. The role also includes maintaining field and laboratory equipment, supporting research logistics and contributing to a collaborative field station community.
The position is ideal for candidates with a background in biology, ecology, environmental science, geography or a related discipline who enjoy hands-on fieldwork in remote environments. Experience with ecological monitoring, Arctic flora and fauna, and data analysis is desirable, while the ability to work in physically demanding Arctic conditions is essential.
Toolik Field Station is a renowned Arctic research station operated by the Institute of Arctic Biology at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. The successful applicant will play an important role in supporting environmental monitoring and research that advances our understanding of rapidly changing Arctic ecosystems.
